'Big Daddy' Don Garlits laying one down in the Swamp Rat! What more could you say? Check out all the folks on the crosswalk stairs. This was a match race with Shirley Muldowney, hence the intense interest. I snapped the photo below in 1995 and it looks even more eerie when displayed with the above photo that Louis sent me. Cam Dynamics, by the way, was started in Memphis by Mark Heffington. It was located near the airport on Runway Road after moving from the original location in the Sun Studios building. (Elvis fans know Sun Studios.) After selling Cam Dynamics to Crane Cams in Florida, Mark founded Hypertech, Inc.
