June 1987. Final exams are over and it's time
to take up residence in the barn once again! Not really
but it seemed like it anyway.
It's
getting exiting now as the body was ready for some
primer. Just having the car one uniform color made it
look better than I had ever seen it.
Lots more sanding ahead.
I couldn't resist poking the GS
emblems on the rear quarters as a reminder that this is
not just any old car.
Oooh! Daylight once again...what a concept.
Wet sanding the primer is best done out here.
It's about time to get the engine out so it
can be rebuilt.
First I took all of the front
suspension off. This way the frame rails can be prepped
and painted and the ball joints and control arm bushings
can be replaced.
